Education @ Ireland

Ireland offers the triple benefits of superb quality of education, affordable costs and good scholarship options. Also, the Irish government has implemented a Green Card/Work Permit Scheme which provides a definite pathway to long term residency as well as work options for skilled students. For students who are in the ICT and pharmaceutical sectors, the opportunities in Ireland are especially good. Quite a few of our students have also moved over to a paid PhD program after completing their Masters degrees in Ireland.

IRELAND is a dynamic, English speaking country with a young population and a global outlook. It also has one of the best education systems in the World, as per the IMD World Competitiveness Report 2008. The ICT sector is especially huge – a whopping seven of the top ten organizations in thus sector have their European Headquarters in Ireland. Organizations like Intel, Dell, HP, Google, Symantec, IBM, Citibank etc. have a huge presence in Ireland, and also employ and hire a large number of people there.

We have partnered with almost all the top colleges and Universities in Ireland, both state-owned and private, which award degrees that are recognized and respected around the world.

Some of the institutions that we are associated with are:

Trinity College, University of Dublin

Trinity College, Dublin is the oldest and most prestigious university in Ireland, located in the heart of the Dublin City. It is ranked among the top 50 universities in the world. The college has produced prominent figures in history - from poets and statesmen to revolutionaries and rock stars! Oscar Wilde and Jonathan Swift were all graduates of Trinity College.

Although it has a very competitive admission procedure, Trinity offers some fantastic programmes in Management (including a much sought after one year MBA program), Information Systems, Engineering and a host of others.

Dublin City University (DCU)

Amongst the topmost Universities of Ireland, DCU is also very renowned in Europe. Its integrated campus in Dublin is a self-sufficient township in itself. It offers a wide variety of courses in all fields including Engineering, Business, Bioinformatics and many more. DCU also has a partial scholarship program for international students.

University of Limerick

The University is located on the banks of the river Shannon, in the heart of the 650-acre National Technological Park. An excellent university with State of the Art facilities, it offers some excellent programmes in the areas of IT, Engineering, Business, Humanities etc. A recent survey compiled by the Careers Division at UL showed that 94% of their international graduates were in employment or in further studies six months after leaving the university. A very good location for higher studies in the ICT sector, UL also offers very attractive partial scholarships for International students.

Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)

Again, a very reputed state-owned college and renowned in Europe, DIT is rated as the topmost of all Institutes of Technology founded by the Irish Government. With an excellent infrastructure and industry interface, DIT will soon move to a huge integrated campus which would be one of the best in Europe. It offers a wide range of programs in Engineering, IT, Business and many more.

Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT)

Situated in the town renowned for the Waterford Crystal, WIT is a premier state-owned college of Ireland. Situated about 3 hours by train from the capital city of Dublin, WIT also offers a self-sufficient campus, a highly acclaimed degree, and a strong industry interface with companies across Ireland recruiting students from WIT. WIT also has attractive partial scholarships for select International students.

Dublin Business School (DBS)

DBS is the largest private college in Ireland, and is fully owned by Kaplan, a multi-billion dollar education conglomerate. It has five campuses in central Dublin, and maintains a very high education standard. It also has great infrastructural facilities including a Wi-Fi campus, huge library and a multi-cuisine cafeteria. DBS has two intakes each year for the MBA program, and also offers partial scholarships to qualified students.

Apart from the above, we represent a large number of other institutions also. Please get in touch with the NewStrides team for more details.
